SALZKOTHE

For this project, I executed a digital reproduction of a 1700s miniature wood model of a German 'Salzkothe'—a traditional salt boiling hut from Halle, Saxony-Anhalt. The process began with meticulous measuring and scanning of the original model, followed by a comprehensive rebuild from scratch. The reconstruction focused not only on achieving high visual fidelity but also on optimizing for real-time web performance. To bring the historical salt boiling process to life, I incorporated detailed animations that illustrate the ancient techniques used.
